Company Assets v104.0.29 - Linux (64-bit)

Needs Python 3. Unzip this folder, then:

  bash Install-Company-Assets.sh

That copies the program to ~/.local/share/CompanyAssets
and puts one launcher in ~/.local/bin, the applications menu,
and the Desktop. Older installs that showed two "Company Assets"
entries are cleaned up when you run Install again.

Do NOT open CompanyAssets.html in Chrome, Firefox, or any browser.
That file is not the program. The program is its own window.

To try from this unzip without installing:

  bash Run-Company-Assets.sh

Setup asks where to put the company list. The suggested default is
Documents/CompanyAssets. You can pick a network mount or an existing
Company Assets folder. If that folder already has a list, enter the
share key (or the program will ask). Leave it blank for a new list.

Exports, Help PDFs, and CSV files land in Documents/CompanyAssets/exports.

It always opens in its own Company Assets window. Never Chromium,
Chrome, Firefox, or a browser tab.
A browser is only used for email and for reading a PDF.
Add files is on the Inventory toolbar (next to Add asset). It opens a
separate file window, including in Demo, so browsing folders cannot
close Company Assets. Delete asset is on that same toolbar and asks first.
If the window cannot open, a message appears.
People has Save person and Delete person on the toolbar. Delete asks first.
To-Do lets you add your own items at the top of that page.
Print PDF works from every page and stays in this window.
The window fits a 1280×800 screen. Fewer columns turns on by itself there.
After you activate, Save company is Admin only.

Practice login: User ID Demo password 12345
Demo cannot change that password.
Sign out closes the program. Open it again to switch users.
Activation keys are 32 characters (eight groups of four).
The database key is 32 letters and numbers (eight groups of four). Write it down after the license agreement. Linux keeps that key on this computer, not in the shared list folder. Other PCs still need the same key.
Purchase a key at www.digitalvodka.com.
Support is www.digitalvodka.com (no email).
The company list is encrypted. Uninstall never deletes your list.

Uninstall:
